                                                                                   Let Your Life Speak:

Process Theology & The Quaker Testimonies

Quakers have long held that our core beliefs are best expressed in the way we live our lives. And yet, we are always searching for helpful ways to talk about the Divine (God, Light, Inner Teacher, Spirit, Ground of all Being, etc.). Let’s take some time away together to explore two approaches to faith that may open up new understandings and ideas for your own life and faith. We will look at the basic tenets of the Quaker Testimonies and of Process Theology to see how they inform one another and our own thinking and living. And just as important, there will be time for rest, reflection, spiritual exploration, community building, and friendship throughout the day.

Our facilitator will be Janet Legro. Janet holds a Master of Divinity from Harvard University and is an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ. She was the director of spiritual life and community service at Tandem Friends School in Charlottesville, VA from 2007 to 2016. She has been a pastor for outreach and faith formation at First Presbyterian in Richmond and minister for youth and families at Grace Episcopalin Red Hill, Va. Additionally Janet has a background in counseling, as well as planning and leading pilgrimage in the U.S. and overseas, and is currently President of the Council for Richmond Hill.
