Did you know you could help Quaker House without committing to being a board member? We accept people to serve on specific committees and work on certain projects. For example, a person who couldn’t commit to meetings edited a book as it was being revised to reflect these times.
If you have experience, or interest in expanding our relationship-focused strategy for long-term financial health, please consider serving on the Quaker House Development Committee.

The Fourth and final session of Quakerism 101 will be held at the Meetinghouse on January 26 at 9:30 am.
Topic --"Quakers in the Wider World."
Kelly Kennedy will facilitate beginning with a PowerPoint including maps of Quakers in Virginia, the nation, and worldwide. With the help of three Friends with deep experience in organizations such as Baltimore Yearly Meeting, Friends General Conference, Friends Committee on National Legislation, and Friends in Unity with Nature, we'll look at how Quaker values drive their work and their outcomes.

Quaker House Update
Quaker House (https://quakerhouse.org/) is in a time of a strategic planning. We hope to continue to nurture current programs and grow into new opportunities for programs that serve the organization's mission
Possibilities include: working with police around moral injury, racial equity, and more intensive counseling on the draft and conscientious objection beyond Quaker Meetings. We are led by issues related to the Derek Chauvin trial and the militarization of police.
